Jeff naturally grew up around the business. He started out working part-time in the summer of 1976 (at the age of 14) and started at the bottom of the ladder. Jeff understands how everything is put together and is proud to carry on the Martin Brothers' love of home building. Jeff handles the day-to-day operations, which includes managing as many as 18 people in the field, 4 office staff and a licensed architect. Virgil and Nelson are still involved in the company and their experience makes them an invaluable resource. Jeff is active in the Builders Association of Elkhart County and is the current Board President. Jeff obtained his Certified Graduate Builder (CGB®) and Certified Graduate Remodelor® (CGR™) designations in February 2006. He obtained his Graduate Master Builder (GMB) and Certified Green Professional (CGP) designations in May 2008 and he obtained his Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation in November, 2008 from the National Association of Home Builders.

Martin Brothers relies on our experienced crews to uphold our company's reputation and keep customer's happy. We have highly qualified and carpenters that have been with us for more than 15, 20 and 25 years. So dedicated are our carpenters to the building industry that two of our team members have obtained the CGB and CGR™ designations and three have obtained the CGP designation from the National Association of Home Builders. Experience counts when building a home with thousands of details. You want the structural aspects of the home to be right from the beginning. It's what we call the things between the floors and the walls, things that you can't go back and do differently later on. With an on-staff Architect Martin Brothers offers a full design-build service. Our licensed Architect, Phil Jenkins has ten plus years of experience and can help deal with the many design issues found in today's technologically advanced homes. We are of course happy to work with your Architect or Designer too.
