Would the builder know what to do if overhead utility services needed to be moved underground? If building beside a lake or river would they know how to handle the permitting process or understand how to provide a stable foundation? What if I wanted to make a large pond where no pond exists? How about a bridge? Would they know how to handle something larger than a Koi pond or have they ever been involved in building a bridge? Do they have extensive knowledge of what other builders are calling  "new" technology?  Do they employee their own carpenters, many with 15 or more years of experience? Would they understand the complexities of building a large custom home or have a 40+ year proven track record in custom home building?
