Kitchen & Great Room Remodel

The owner of this home wanted to interact with family while cooking in the kitchen and the floor plan of their home didn’t make this possible. A wall between the kitchen offered a see-through fireplace and open niches above the shelves, it just didn’t offer the open plan they desired. Out came the old fireplace wall and in came a new woodburning fireplace on the opposite wall of the now “great room”.

Also, in came a brand new custom Maple kitchen by Hoosier House Furnishings, LLC and bay window with marble sill. The perimeter of the kitchen features painted and glazed raised panel cabinetry with Atlantic black suede granite tops. The island has a black paint with rubbed edge finish and is topped with Calcutta marble. To accommodate the new computer station, the former pantry closet was closed off. However, in its place is a pantry cabinet with loads of roll-out shelving.
