Dear Jeff, Rick and Phil
and the team at Martin Brothers:
On a sunny Saturday a few
weeks ago, Todd's extended family came out to the lake
house to have what we call a "carpet party." When someone in the family moves
into a
new place, we christen the new home by breaking bread together.
We were gathered around
the table, the kids were running outside, and I looked over to
see Todd grinning. He was so happy. I knew he was thinking, "This is why we
built this
place."
This family has been
through great and serious loss during the past few years and Todd
and I wanted to provide a place to heal and to create new memories. We wanted to
thank
you for helping us make that dream a reality.
We also wanted to provide
a place for friend and family to experience the water. Todd
and I grew up loving the water...not only for the sports action, but for the
natural
peace and connection it can provide.
...My friends and family
trek here from Chicago and other cities all summer long to get a
break from congested city life. Now that we have better accommodations, it will
be easier
for our aging parents to enjoy this environment with their grandchildren.
Cousins who
live hundreds of miles apart have a place to come and be together. The work you
have
done will make this be a beautiful retreat for generations of our family.
I could go on and on. Todd
and I wanted to let you know how important this place is to
us and how much we appreciate your team and their very talented skills. We are
especially grateful to Rick for his care, skill and willingness to promote good
communication with us. That was invaluable as we navigated this new and
challenging
experience.
Thank you again and God
Bless.
Sincerely,
Chris and Todd Martin
